Tire changing Saturdays - May 22 and June 5, 2010 at 9:00 AM

We will have a tire changing and balancing tech session this coming Saturday starting at 9:00 AM and lasting until we are done. We will do the same on Saturday June 5. Please reply to this post to let me know you are coming and on which date. We will start the training promptly at 9:00 AM and will do members tires in the order you reply to this post. The location is Andy Valentine' barn at 6016 Murray Lane, Brentwood. Drive up the long drive and stay left at the house on the asphalt drive that continues up to the barn. Remember to have your wheels off the bike before you come. A copy of the Tire Changing Rules are attached for your convenience.

Could you give me the statistics on the number of people maimed, killed or traumatized by the use of the tire changer at the rally? I need to weigh the odds before I commit to this Saturday's mayhem.

See you Saturday Steve, but you are third in line as there are two tire changers ahead of you - Doug Ryan and me.
Actually Doug is first as he called me about this to begin with, you are second and whoever else posts up will follow. I'll do mine last.

We changed out 4 tires this weekend for members including our first dirt tire with a tube. We learned sonme new tricks in the process so don't let fear of puncturing your tube stop you. Next tire changing opportunity will be June 5 at 9:00 AM. You must sign up be replying to this message to assure a place in line. We are also planning on having the tire changer available after lunch at the Club Picnic on Saturday June 12 if you cannot make the June 5 date. Remember to have the wheel off your bike and your new tire ready to go.
